Okay... so you need a little more help than the tutoring services offer? Then you are looking at the right page!

Subjects I tutor in, and approximate rates therein:

• College Chemistry, generally $15-25 an hour plus travel expenses. This is my major, so I have a pretty good discussion ability for most topics. (High School Chemistry is $5 an hour cheaper)
• Mathematics, generally $15-25 an hour plus travel expenses. Bear with me, this is only my minor, and sometimes I can be a bit vague with explanations.
• Physics, generally $10-20 an hour plus travel expenses. Again, bear with me. I hate physics in all its manifestations, and would rather not tutor it.
• Webdesign / LaTeX / General PC knowlege, generally $10-25 an hour plus travel expenses. Web design and computers have been a hobbies of mine for years. I personally have built about 8 PC's from parts, all running Windows in some incarnation. You have a question on Mac... too bad, buy a real PC. You have a question on Linux... I am trying to learn that myself yet.

As to the topic of travel expenses... I live about 35 miles from campus, and so if you want me to go somewhere I am not already (I am on campus Mon-Thurs). I re-compute the cost per mile every time I refuel my car; not to make any promises, but my last tank was about 10¢ a mile. Note also, that those amounts are just ball-park figures. Usually, it works out I just give a rounded off number, usually less than those posted above. I do not want to charge you if you do not learn anything!
